first college comp-post (HAHAHAH...like compost...get it?)
No matter how welcoming Florida gulf coat University and it's students and staff have been, introductions are never easy. My name is Robert Lloyd and I have lived in Florida for about five years now. My Father, Stepmother, sister and I moved to citrus county in my eighth grade year. We came from New Hampshire, the place I still call home. The Majority of my life was spent there and I will return one day.
New Hampshire taught me many things. Living in the north makes you tough, the cold winters and often rough terrain of the forests that constantly surround made my childhood an adventure. I love the snow and ice that changes into spring and then some of the nicest summers you will ever see. Florida has no seasons.
I grew up a farm-boy through and through. We had the animals and the garden, a giant feild and a giant barn, with hundreds of acres of forests to explore. waking up early, all of the hard work winter brings and farm life have made me the person I am. Granted, Florida has helped me grow socially, having spent my awkward years here, but I am still a thick blooded northerner.
I have more to tell of New Hampshire, but I don't want to bore you, (as though that topic could....) because i spend most of my time trying to get people to laugh. i have a directory of jokes and can come up with a drawn cartoon of a pun or situation on demand.
i have a broad range of musical interests and an even more broad range of acceptance for the people around me. i have befriended just about every kind of person, and cant wait to meet more. wanna help?
